The Nameless Usher:

In the autumn of 1934, a traveling evangelist named Mordecai Ham came to Charlotte, North Carolina, to preach a citywide revival. Night after night, the tent filled with people. Some came eager to hear the gospel, others came out of curiosity, and a few came just to scoff.
One evening, two teenage boys showed up late: Billy Graham and his friend Grady Wilson. They hovered near the entrance, looking for a way out. The tent was packed, and the last thing they wanted was to walk down a crowded aisle and be forced to sit in the front. In fact, they decided they would just turn around and leave.  But then it happened.  An usher, just an ordinary man serving quietly that night, saw the boys slipping away. He chased them down and said, “Come on, fellows, I’ll help you find a seat.” He led them through the crowd and placed them where they could hear the preaching.  That small act of faithfulness changed history. Under that tent, both Billy and Grady felt the convicting power of the gospel. They soon gave their lives to Christ. Billy Graham would go on to preach to more people face-to-face than anyone in history, and Grady Wilson would serve faithfully alongside him in ministry for decades.  Yet think about this: none of it might have happened if one usher had not been faithful in his simple task.  We often celebrate the evangelist who preaches, or the singer who draws the crowd—but heaven also celebrates the usher who finds a seat, the greeter who opens the door, the volunteer who shows kindness to a restless teenager. What may seem like the smallest service can have eternal impact.  That night, an usher didn’t just find two boys a place to sit. He helped set the stage for millions around the world to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Answer the Call — The Harvest Is Now:
Every revival has been carried on the shoulders of faithful givers who refused to let the flame die. Your gift is not an expense — it’s an investment into souls, into eternity, into the Kingdom of God advancing with power!  "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly of under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Your giving helps us:

  • Ignite evangelism that reaches the lost and hurting.

  • Equip believers to walk in boldness and power.

  • Send the message of Jesus farther than ever before.

Become a fisher of  men:

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Carry the fire of the Gospel into communities near and far.
